Affirming and Inclusive Therapy
Hi, I’m Liz (they/them).
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, so I offer a free video consultation to help us see if we’d be a good fit. My goal is to support you in taking manageable, meaningful steps toward the life you want to live and the person you want to be.
Who I Work With
I work with adult individuals and relationships from many backgrounds. While all are welcome, I specialize in working with people 18+, LGBTQIA+, non-monogamous, neurodivergent, nerdy, and kink/BDSM community members.
Many people reach out to me when they are navigating:
Relationship struggles
Past relational/family trauma
Religious or spiritual trauma
Recent ADHD or Autism diagnosis
Learning to unmask
Anxiety and depression
Gender identity
Sexual issues
Opening a relationship
My Approach
I offer a collaborative, flexible space tailored to your unique goals. My approach integrates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, we’ll work to build a new relationship with your emotions so you can live life true to yourself. In sessions, you can expect a nonjudgmental environment paired with gentle, direct support when helpful.
My Background
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Portland, Oregon. I earned my B.S. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University and my M.A. in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College. My continuing education and training focuses on ACT, IFS, EFT, DBT, gender-affirming care, sex and sexuality, non-monogamy, kink/BDSM, and neurodiversity-affirming practices.
About Me
As a queer, non-binary, non-monogamous, white, AuDHD person with chronic illness, I deeply value meeting you exactly where you are and honoring your unique lived experience. Outside of the therapy room, you can usually find me playing TTRPGs and video games, spending time with my partner and cats, or trying new food.
